British buildings have been lit red, white and blue to commemorate 80th anniversary of VE Day.

The nation has united to mark the 80th anniversary of VE Day with a four-day celebration that began on May 5.


The commemorations honoured the millions who served in the Second World War across the UK and Commonwealth.

The illumination of the UK landmarks marks the conclusion of the second day of celebrations.
