It’s easy to overspend while hunting for a bargain during Black Friday, so it pays to be on your guard.
But this isn’t to say there aren’t top deals out there. And some offers can cut the cost of your bills, saving you money over the long term instead of just netting you a discount now.
TV and broadband providers get in on the action during Black Friday, so if you’ve been with an existing provider for a long time, it’s worth checking how much you could save on a new deal.
It’s possible to save money by combining services – for example you could take out a package that includes both broadband and Netflix.
And perhaps you’re paying for entertainment that you don’t watch. In this case, you could save money by cutting back and switching to an internet-only deal.
We’ve picked out top TV and broadband deals currently available below, including specific Black Friday offers.
Combining TV and broadband could save you money – but check them separately too
A note on mid-contract price rises…
Most internet providers will hike your monthly bill around April each year. But they must be upfront with how much it’s going to increase by.
They should list price rises within the details of the package, so check this with the provider when going ahead.

Deals for fast broadband plus top TV channels
Before going ahead with these deals, check to see how much the services would cost you separately.
One-touch switching means that you should only need to deal with your new broadband provider, who’ll get in touch with your old provider to handle the changeover.
Sky Stream, Essential TV, Netflix & Full Fibre 500* – £35 a month with £20 voucher
Sky’s essential TV packages already offer good value for new Sky customers, costing £35 a month for the Full Fibre 75* and Full Fibre 300* packages.
But Sky has introduced a Black Friday deal on its fast Full Fibre 500 package, lowering the monthly price to £35 a month – plus you’ll get a £20 gift card when you sign up using our link.
In October this package was £40 a month, so the offer plus voucher saves you £140 over two years.
It comes with services including Netflix, Sky Atlantic and Discovery+, so you can watch top shows such as The Last of Us, Stranger Things and All Her Fault.
The deal is due to end on 24 November, so be quick if you want to sign up.
Virgin Media M350 Entertainment + Netflix* – £32.37 a month factoring in three months free
Virgin Media has introduced a good deal across several of its packages, offering three months free and reducing the overall cost of your package.
Virgin Media M350 Entertainment + Netflix includes channels such as Sky Max and Comedy Central for £36.99 a month. But with three months free, the monthly cost over 24 months is effectively £32.37 a month.
Virgin Media has a similar deal on its M350 Cinema + Netflix* package, which adds Sky Cinema HD into the mix. It costs £46.99 a month but the three free months makes it £41.12.
Are there Black Friday TV deals that include sports TV?
Adding sports usually causes the monthly price to skyrocket, so if you’ve got sports channels, it’s worth checking how much you’re paying and seeing whether you can save.
Here’s a selection of providers that are currently offering Black Friday deals:
BT – Sport + Fibre 2*: £27.99 a month for 6 months, then £54.99 after – comes with £150 reward card
BT – Full Works + Fibre 2*: £65.99 a month for three months then £105.99 after (includes Netflix, Sky channels, TNT Sports, Sky Sports, NOW Cinema) – plus £150 reward card
Virgin Media – M350 Sport HD + Netflix*: £56.99 a month with three months free, making it just under £50 a month (includes Sky Sports HD)
Great value broadband-only deals
If you’re only looking for a broadband deal, here are some options to consider. These aren’t strictly Black Friday deals – just cheap options to compare.
Keep in mind that most won’t need the fastest speeds. Openreach says that households with no more than four people streaming, video calling and working from home will need speeds of around 50-76Mbps.
The providers below might not all be available in your area. Some are ‘alt-nets’, such as Community Fibre, which usually operate in select areas.
However, major providers such as BT, Sky and Vodafone operate on the Openreach network, which has good availability all over the country.
