Ja’Marr Chase has lost his appeal against a one-game suspension for spitting on Steelers star Jalen Ramsey.
The Bengals receiver was banned by the NFL over the incident, which sparked a mass on-field melee during Sunday’s game.
Chase appealed the punishment but, on Tuesday night, it was confirmed that the punishment has been confirmed.
‘Hearing officer Jordy Nelson, jointly appointed by the NFL and the NFLPA, has upheld the one-game suspension of Cincinnati’s Ja’Marr Chase,’ the NFL announced.
The Cincinnati star will forfeit more than $500,000 due to the suspension, which will see him miss this weekend’s clash with the New England Patriots.
