MTV has canceled the comedy clip series Ridiculousness after 14 years and 46 seasons.

Hosted by Rob Dyrdek, it is expected that previously produced episodes will continue airing through 2026, but no more original episodes will be made.

According to reports, network executives informed the cast and crew of the cancelation decision this week.

‘MTV’s top brass delivered the announcement, signaling that the decision came from the highest levels of network management,’ Rolling Stone claimed.

Ridiculousness was one of the network’s longest-running program with over 1,700 episodes.

Debuting in August 2011, it was then co-hosted by Chanel West Coast and then Lauren ‘Lolo’ Wood.

The show presented viral videos of failed stunts as the hosts delivered comedic analysis and mockery.

Dydrek, 51, has not yet addressed the axe.

Social media users were divided over the cancelation news: some were devastated and speculated over MTV’s future while others celebrated.

Taking to X, one said: ‘This makes me think MTV itself is getting shut down.’

‘I blame this show for MTV’s demise,’ another wrote.

A third posted: ‘Welp. Might as well cancel MTV as a whole because that show was keeping the lights on at MTV.’

One shocked user added: ‘They were still making new episodes…? I just thought it was hours of reruns every day on MTV…’

Ridiculousness’s cancelation comes just weeks after MTV announced the end of Catfish: The TV Show following 13 years on air.

The cult reality series, which exposed the truths and lies behind online relationships, was culled after nine seasons with reports that the network did not renew it.

Catfish: The TV Show launched in 2012, inspired by the 2010 documentary of the same name, and quickly became one of MTV’s most enduring reality staples.

Over more than a decade, it delved into the world of digital romance, unmasking internet tricksters while offering candid insight into modern dating.

The cancelation came as co-host Nev Schulman announced that his own career was shifting in a different direction.

The 41-year-old, who fronted the series from the beginning, had recently shared a clip of himself cycling through the busy streets of New York in a blue suit, sunglasses and a helmet.

Overlaying the video, he wrote: ‘On my way to help you buy/sell your dream home.’

He clarified in the caption: ‘In my real estate era.’
