Time is running out to secure a bargain in Amazon’s first-ever Everyday Essentials sale.
As the name suggests, Amazon isn’t offering discounts on shiny new smartphones, 55″ Smart TVs, games consoles, or noise-cancelling headphones… this sale focuses on household essentials.
Admittedly, these aren’t the most exciting products, but bulk-buying items at a discount is a sure-fire way to save money at a time when household budgets are really stretched.
From toilet roll to dishwasher tablets, coffee beans to cleaning products, toothpaste to razor blades, the Everyday Essentials sale has slashed prices across thousands of essential items by up to 40%.
You’ll need to add your discounted household essentials to your basket before 11.59pm on May 27.
“Now more than ever we know our customers are looking to save, and this is another way we’re helping them to do so,” said John Boumphrey, UK Country Manager of Amazon. “This is our first-ever Everyday Essentials Week, and customers will be able to shop thousands of deals across our most popular household items.”
With just a few days left, Amazon’s first-of-its-kind sale arrives at a time when many households are feeling the pinch from ever-increasing prices. Whether it’s coffee, eggs, or washing powder, everyday essentials have become increasingly expensive.
Amazon’s first Everyday Essentials sale
Amazon believes bulk-buying from its online store will now seen as a smart move for budget-conscious shoppers. Its Everyday Essentials sale — the first time the US company has specifically launched a promotion around mundane household products — will be seen in some corners as a bold new challenge to UK supermarket chains like Tesco, Sainsbury’s, LIDL, Aldi, and Morrisons.
