Amanda Abbington has become the latest public figure to publicly condemn controversial influencer Harrison Sullivan, known online as HSTikkyTokky, after he appeared in Louis Theroux’s latest Netflix documentary, Inside the Manosphere.
The actress and former Strictly star reacted furiously online after seeing a recent post of Mr Sullivan’s that encouraged his followers to travel to Dubai whilst dismissing reports of drone strikes as “misinformation” — mere hours after an Iranian attack forced the temporary closure of Dubai International Airport.

BBCThe 24-year-old posted footage from a largely deserted beach club on Monday, declaring the city was “popping” and insisting: “There are no bombs coming over. This is the best city in the world to be at.”
Mr Sullivan, who featured prominently in Inside The Manosphere, told viewers: “I’m literally here right now living with my mum, eating the same food I ate before, not one bomb has come over.”

Earlier that same day, a drone-related incident had sparked a fuel tank fire near the airport, resulting in 95 flight cancellations and 75 delays.
After watching the clip of Mr Sullivan’s travel advice, combined with his controversial antics in the documentary, Ms Abbington decided to deliver her thoughts.
In a blistering response to Mr Sullivan’s online update, Ms Abbington penned: “My advice to you? Go and read a book. Seriously.
“Then, when you’ve done that, go and read another book. Then another one. But read different genres and authors. Read some poetry.

“When you’ve done that, go to an Art Gallery. Not one where you buy the art but an actual exhibition. Then when you’ve done that, go to a museum. Any museum.
“Then, when you’ve done that, go to the theatre and watch a play. A Shakespeare or a Tennessee Williams or maybe a modern piece.
“Then, when you’ve done all that, read another f****n book. And then see another play, go and listen to f****n Beethoven. Then Nirvana.
“And after you’ve done all those things, maybe you’ll have grown the f*** up a bit and you’ll be a real man instead of this beta, emasculated, terrified hybrid of a thing you are at the moment,” she signed off.

LATEST DEVELOPMENTS:
Mr Sullivan hasn’t replied to or addressed Ms Abbington’s complaint, although there were several other comments of a similar nature in response to the video.
The influencer rose to prominence in early 2023 through content he claims teaches young men “how to be boys, how to make money, how to be outside the system.”
The Essex-born creator, who hails from Hutton in Brentwood, began building his platform whilst at university alongside fellow influencer Ed Matthews, eventually generating £1,000 daily through fitness programmes and plans.
He has since expanded his business interests to include an agency managing young women who produce sexual content on OnlyFans — a venture he openly acknowledges profiting from despite finding the work itself objectionable.

GETTY“Do I agree with it? No,” he told Mr Theroux during filming. “Would I profit off it? Yeah.”
The social media personality describes himself as a businessman and salesman, operating in what he calls “an attention economy” where views translate directly into fame and financial opportunity.
The Netflix documentary captured several contentious moments, including Mr Sullivan stating he would “disown” any future daughter who joined OnlyFans and cut contact with a son who “came out as gay.”
“Call me racist, call me a misogynist, call me homophobic, call me a scammer – I’m all those things,” he declared on camera.

The film also documented a so-called “predator sting” that turned violent, with members of Mr Sullivan’s team attacking a man they accused of being a child predator.
Mr Sullivan’s relationship with Mr Theroux deteriorated markedly during filming, with the influencer secretly livestreaming their third encounter and peppering the journalist with questions about Jimmy Savile and Palestine to entertain his viewers.
Following the documentary’s release, Mr Sullivan branded Mr Theroux a “total hypocrite” for criticising his promotion of OnlyFans whilst simultaneously giving the manosphere a platform on Netflix.
“I absolutely smashed it,” he declared on a Kick livestream, claiming he had convinced Mr Theroux to invest £500 in his enterprise and turned it into £13,000 — though the documentary itself showed the journalist had lost most of his money.
He dismissed critics as “low test men and fat women” who are “angry at life.”
