ISLAMABAD:

The Higher Education Commission All Pakistan Inter University Taekwondo Championship 2025 took place concluded at the NUCES-FAST Islamabad Campus last week.

The event brought together the best university-level Taekwondo athletes from across the country, showcasing exceptional talent and competitive spirit.

Around 25 universities is participate in the event 160 athletes and 35 officials from all over Pakistan.

The Chief Guest, H.E. Yerzhan Kistafin, Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Pakistan, graced the occasion with his presence. 

The Guest of Honor was Akhtar Nawaz Ghanghro, Former Director General, Pakistan Sports Board, along with Dr. Waseem Shahzad, Director Campus and Syed Aoun Abbas Manager Sports NUCES-FAST Islamabad.

During his address, Kistafin congratulated the organisers and participants for successfully hosting a national-level event that promotes youth engagement, discipline, and international friendship through sports. 

He particularly appreciated the efforts of Syed Aoun Abbas, Manager Sports and Organizing Secretary of the Championship, for his outstanding coordination and dedication in making the event a success.

The ambassador also emphasized the importance of strengthening people-to-people ties between Kazakhstan and Pakistan through cultural and sporting exchanges.

Dr Waseem Shahzad Director Campus thanked to all participating universities and expressed to Kistafin for sparing the time and visit National University of Computer & Emerging Sciences FAST Islamabad.
