Musk praises Ronaldo for achieving ‘Best Player in Middle East Award’ for 2025

Elon Musk congratulates Cristiano Ronaldo for achieving “Best Player in the Middle East for the Year 2025” after CR7 was recognized at the 16th Globe Soccer Awards held in Dubai on December 28, 2025.

Despite not clinching any team championships with Al Nassr and without any team titles, a nod did not go unnoticed since the Portuguese star wrapped up the season by getting an individual award for the Best Player in the Middle East.

The jury appreciated his individual performance with Al Nassr, where he stood out for his goal-scoring performances and influenced many both on and off the field.

The award was presented at the annual ceremony held in Dubai that honored players, coaches, and clubs for their performance over the year, reports BBC.

The football legend was presented the Best Player award in the presence of high-ranking officials, including His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.

Since Ronaldo joined Saudi football, he has continued to break personal records and maintained high consistency.

Although collective successes eluded him, fueling the debate around the award, X owner Elon Musk appreciated his achievements by sharing a “sweet trophy” gesture on Instagram.

It is not the first time that Musk has appreciated the GOAT—he seems to be a Ronaldo fan, as he always congratulates him and encourages him well to achieve more.

Ronaldo has now claimed the “Best Player in the Middle East” award for the third consecutive year, showcasing sustained excellence well.

The former Manchester United (Man Utd) legend Cristiano Ronaldo joined the Saudi Pro League in 2023.

The striker said in November 2025 that the 2026 World Cup in the United States, Canada, and Mexico will be his last international tournament.

Well, the 40-year-old football champ shows no signs of slowing down and committed that “I will reach 1,000 goals,” as he already stands around his career tally at 956 goals for the club.

“My passion is high and I want to continue. It doesn’t matter where I play, whether in the Middle East or Europe.I always enjoy playing football and I want to keep going,” said Ronaldo after receiving the award.
