Surrey Police is set to request assistance from the FBI regarding allegations contained in recently released Epstein files that describe abuse at “paedophile ring” gatherings in Britain during the mid-1990s.

The claims, which remain unproven, name both Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and Ghislaine Maxwell as being present at the alleged events.

Andrew has consistently and firmly rejected allegations of wrongdoing connected to Jeffrey Epstein or Maxwell.

Documents published by the US Department of Justice on Monday form part of a substantial cache of 11,000 files relating to the late convicted paedophile.

The force confirmed it is reaching out to relevant agencies to obtain access to redacted details within the FBI document.

According to the heavily redacted FBI document, a 35-year-old individual alleges they were drugged and transported by their father to an abuse ring in Surrey when they were between six and eight years old.

The complainant alleges they were taken to Frogmore Cottage on the Windsor Estate, which later became the home of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

They claim that, while there, they were restrained on a table and subjected to electric shocks, allegedly administered by Maxwell, while Andrew and other men were said to be present.

The individual further alleges they were struck by a dark blue vehicle with a personalised registration plate, which they claim Andrew was driving outside one of the alleged gatherings in Surrey.

Additional allegations include allegations of molestation at Epstein’s property in Florida.

Surrey Police said it has no record of these allegations being previously reported to the force.

“Following a review of our systems using the limited information available to us, we can find no evidence of these allegations being reported to Surrey Police,” a spokesman said.

“We are therefore engaging with relevant agencies to obtain access to the redacted information.”

The force added: “We take all reports of child abuse seriously and encourage anyone with information in relation to these allegations to report this to us online, or via 101.”

Monday’s release represented the largest batch of Epstein-related documents made public so far, though several hundred thousand additional files are expected to follow.

The Department of Justice noted this week that the materials contained numerous “untrue” and “sensationalist” claims about President Donald Trump.

Andrew was stripped of his royal titles earlier this year over his ties to Epstein.

This month, the Metropolitan Police confirmed it would not be launching a formal criminal investigation into separate allegations that he had sexual contact with a trafficked teenager in London.

Virginia Giuffre, Epstein’s late victim, had alleged in a 2021 US lawsuit that she was trafficked to a Belgravia property in 2001 when she was 17.

Her family expressed “deep disappointment” at the Met’s decision.

Separately, documents released this week revealed Maxwell had sought “fun girls” to accompany her friend “Andrew” on a trip to Peru, using an email address listed under “Duke of York” in Epstein’s contacts.

Andrew undertook an official visit to Peru a month later.

The email exchanges contain no suggestion of illegality.
