Chuck Norris has paid tribute to his ex-wife of 30 years and high school sweetheart Dianne Holechek after her death at 85.

The 85-year-old film icon took to his Facebook page on Sunday night to share a sweet black and white throwback snap of himself and Holecheck with their sons Mike and Eric Norris.

He also shared a sweet tribute which began: ‘I am deeply saddened to share that my ex wife, Dianne, has passed away. After being married for 30 years, we were able to find a way to remain close friends, and those years of friendship meant the world to me.’

The Walker Texas Ranger leading man continued by praising his ex and even listed her positive character traits before talking about how they still had a connection despite going their separate ways.

Norris continued: ‘Dianne was an incredible person. She was kind, intelligent, and lived life to the fullest. Her presence in my life will never be forgotten. She was also a loving and devoted mother to our sons, Mike and Eric, who were always her greatest pride.

‘Even as our lives took different directions, we continued to care deeply for one another, and I will forever cherish the memories we built together.’

This comes after Holechek and Norris’ son Mike, 63, confirmed his mother passed following a long battle with dementia with TMZ.

Norris said his mother died peacefully at her Texas home.

‘We are thankful she is no longer suffering. She was the best, the greatest mom. We were so lucky to have her,’ he told the publication.

The Daily Mail has reached out to Mike and his father Chuck for comment.

High school sweethearts, Holechek was just 17 and Norris was 18 when they tied the knot in 1958.

They welcomed aforementioned sons Mike and Eric Norris, age 60, during their marriage.

While serving in the United States Air Force in 1963, however, Norris strayed and he fathered a daughter with another woman.

Norris was unaware the woman he had been intimate with had become pregnant until 1991, when his biological daughter reached out to him, according to The Sun.
