TANDO ALLAHYAR:

An awareness walk was organised at the Civil Hospital in Tando Allahyar to mark the launch of the upcoming polio vaccination campaign. The event was led by Deputy Commissioner Noor Mustafa Laghari, who administered polio drops to children, officially inaugurating the campaign.

They informed that Tando Allahyar has approximately 190,000 children eligible for polio drops. To cover all children, 495 dedicated polio teams have been formed, which will conduct door-to-door vaccination drives. Additional teams will be stationed at major public locations, such as bus stops.

A total of 700 police personnel will assist the polio teams to ensure smooth and safe operations. The officials stressed that polio is a dangerous disease and urged parents to ensure their children receive the drops and to fully cooperate with the teams to achieve complete immunisation coverage.
