Paddy Power are set to give away 10,000 dartboards to fans after announcing that they will sponsor the PDC World Darts Championship for another five years.
The boards will be up for grabs for anyone who donates to Prostate Cancer UK through the Darts of Destiny JustGiving page.
From 8am on Tuesday, fans will be able to pick up a dartboard from a Paddy Power shop if they can prove they have made a donation.
The campaign aims to highlight the fight against prostate cancer, with Paddy Power keen to highlight that over 10,000 men a year receive a diagnosis when it is too late to cure.
Paddy Power are looking to get 180,000 men to check their risk of prostate cancer during the World Championship, with more than 250,000 taking the risk checker during the first two years of the campaign.
Paddy Power said: ‘We hope the dartboard giveaway really will put into perspective how important it is to get checked early – 10,000 men a year being diagnosed until it’s too late for a cure is such a heart-wrenching statistic and we want to encourage as many men as possible to come forward and take the super-easy risk checker.

Fans can claim their board by showing they have donated to the betting company’s Darts of Destiny JustGiving page
‘As well as donations to the Darts of Destiny JustGiving page continuing to help fund life-saving research for Prostate Cancer UK, we also thought people might welcome the practice if they are the lucky person to be on stage throwing for £180k at this year’s Paddy Power World Darts Championship!’
The latest movement from the betting company comes a week after they launched their Even Bigger 180 campaign, which sees Paddy Power renew their pledge to donate £1,000 for every 180 hit and £60,000 for every nine-darter hit – with an additional £120,000 split between the player who hits the nine-darter and a lucky fan in attendance.
They are also urging the public to enter their Darts of Destiny fundraising challenge – where an entrant will be selected at random for the chance to win £180,000 live on stage at Ally Pally if they can score at least 180 points from nine darts.
Paddy Power has already raised more than £2million in their first two years of sponsorship of the tournament.
On Monday, Paddy Power publicised the extension of their sponsorship of the tournament through to 2031 via a humorous video with former PDC chairman Barry Hearn, during which the promoter is faced with two Paddy Power ‘marketing experts’.
Hearn is asked if he would be willing to announce the deal by doing the Peter Wright dance, or by bringing Kolo and Yaya Toure in to sing their famous chant often belted out at the darts.
After going through a list of seemingly undesirable options, Hearn then turns to the camera and says: ‘How about I just look in the camera and say: “Paddy Power have extended their sponsorship of the World Darts Championship until 2031”.’
A Paddy Power spokesperson said: ‘The Paddy Power World Darts Championship is the greatest party in sport and we’re proud to extend our sponsorship for another five years.

‘We are delighted to extend this partnership through to 2031 and look forward to working together to continue growing the event, supporting the players, and using the global platform of darts to raise vital funds and awareness for Prostate Cancer UK.’
