LAHORE:

Several wild animals were rescued from illegal possession during a local fair in Jhang.

According to officials, Jhang Assistant Chief Wildlife Ranger Abdullah Bilal and other personnel conducted a raid on a circus set up during the fair in Ahmedpur Sial.

The team seized two pythons, a monkey, a fox and an eagle that were being kept without legal authorisation.

An FIR was registered at the Garh Maharaja police station for violating wildlife protection laws.
