Oscar Piastri held off Lando Norris‘ challenge to win the Miami Grand Prix and increase his gap over his McLaren team-mate in the thrilling title fight.

Norris was forced to settle for second spot despite winning Saturday’s sprint while George Russell took the final podium place again for Mercedes.

World champion Max Verstappen started on pole but was unable to compete with the power of the two McLarens and dropped out of the top three.

Lewis Hamilton finished eighth for Ferrari and took several heated shots at his engineer over his frustration at a delayed swap with Charles Leclerc.
