Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Khan Gandapur has formally requested a meeting with the Chief Justice of Pakistan to discuss the issue of restricted access to the PTI founder, who is currently imprisoned.

According to official sources, Advocate General K-P, Shah Faisal Utmankhel, has submitted a written request to the Chief Justice on behalf of the Chief Minister. The petition argues that since Ali Amin Gandapur was elected on a PTI ticket and holds the position of provincial chief executive, regular consultation with the party’s founder is essential for governance.

The application stated that under Islamabad High Court orders, meetings with the PTI founder were previously allowed, but the jail authorities have recently suspended this access. A separate petition has also been filed in the Supreme Court seeking restoration of these meetings.

The Chief Minister maintains that he routinely seeks guidance from the PTI founder on provincial matters, public issues, and key policy decisions. The request highlighted that Punjab has recently imposed a ban on wheat supply to K-P, making regular consultations all the more necessary.
