Judge Judy has sold her luxurious Rhode Island estate, netting more than $6 million in profit less than a decade after buying the property from a Campbell’s Soup heiress.

Judith Sheindlin, the 82-year-old TV icon and retired judge, bought her 15,600-square-foot Newport mansion at 70 Beacon Hill Road in 2018 for $9 million – a home that once belonged to soup heiress Dorrance Hill Hamilton.

Just seven years after settling in one of New England’s most exclusive coastal towns, Sheindlin put the estate on the market for a staggering $15.3 million, according to The Boston Globe.

The property sold last month to a company called Sea Spray LLC, leaving the beloved television personality with an estimated $6.3 million in profit.

Built in 2012 and perched atop one of Newport’s highest points, the home features six bedrooms, six bathrooms, 18 total rooms and five fireplaces – all wrapped in a quintessential seaside aesthetic.

When first purchased, the late heiress christened the 3.67-acre estate ‘The Bird House,’ inspired by the collection of birdhouses scattered throughout grounds, according to Haute Residence.

Sheindlin purchased the home after Hamilton passed away at 88 in 2017, making it the highest property sale recorded in Rhode Island that year, according to Gustave White Sotheby’s International Realty.

At the time, she said that she and her husband, Judge Jerry Sheindlin, were ‘looking forward to falling in love with Newport.’

In a statement from 2018, the realty company described the home as ‘state-of-the-art in every aspect with exquisitely crafted details, top-of-the-line amenities and exquisite landscaping.’

While the interior of the home exudes pure luxury, the exterior matches its charm with lush, meticulously manicured greenery surrounding the classic weathered gray façade.

A sweeping circular driveway leads up to the home, curving around a serene pond dotted with lily pads and water features.

Behind the residence, expansive views stretch toward the shimmering shoreline on the near horizon, adding to the mansion’s beachfront elegance.

At the heart of the property stands the star of the show – the massive estate, featuring multiple peaked roofs and wings arranged in a graceful U-shape that wraps around a long, secluded driveway.

The muted gray shingles paired with crisp white window accents allow the house to blend seamlessly into its natural surroundings, mirroring the vibes rocky coastline and pale driftwood tones of the shore.

When you step inside, a soaring two-story foyer welcomes you, leading into a living room adorned with light wood paneling and a dramatic floor-to-ceiling dark stone fireplace.

Floor-to-ceiling windows also stretch across an entire wall of the room, with a sliding door that opens onto a backyard patio overlooking panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean.

Though the home holds more than a dozen rooms, each is uniquely designed with its own distinct style, vibe and color palette.

The dimly lit library is painted a deep red and furnished with lamps, couches, chairs and a vintage-style fireplace perfectly nestled among built-in bookcases.

White beams line the grand hallway, with a beige rug stretching along the gleaming wood floors, leading to open-concept rooms on either side.

The kitchen features a modern design, centered around a white marble and wood split island, surrounded by pastel green cabinets with elegant glass fronts.

Green continues the theme in the dining room, where moss-toned walls are complemented by wooden beams lining the ceiling.

A long table with seven pink chairs anchors the space, while a fireplace – also painted green and accented with a subtle bird motif – adds a distinctive touch.

One bedroom is painted a vibrant golden yellow, with darker yellow curtains adorned with floral vine patterns framing both the headboard and the large windows – flooding the room with natural light and offering peaceful views from the bed.

While the home embraces a traditional design, it’s outfitted with an array of advanced technologies – geothermal heating and cooling, a three-level elevator, remote-controlled window treatments and custom audiovisual systems.

Many of the modern features were added by Hamilton, who built the home more than a decade ago to create a stair-free living space.

‘No expense was spared to create a beautiful sanctuary using all that modern technology can provide,’ Gustave White Sotheby’s 2018 statement added.

After a groundbreaking 25-year run that cemented Sheindlin as one of television’s highest-paid stars, ‘Judge Judy’ wrapped up in 2021.

Though the legendary judge has retired and plans to leave the wealthy town of Newport, she’s made a comeback with a new series, ‘Justice Judy,’ now streaming on Amazon.
