Carabao Cup holders Newcastle United have been handed a tough draw against Tottenham in the fourth round of the competition.

The Magpies, who defeated Liverpool in the final in memorable fashion in March, comfortably saw off League One outfit Bradford City 4-1 on Wednesday night.

Their reward for that victory is a home tie against Spurs, who themselves beat a third tier outfit in Doncaster Rovers 3-0 in the third round.

Three other ties in the last-16 stage see Premier League teams clash, with Arsenal to host Brighton, while Liverpool and Crystal Palace will battle at Anfield and Wolves were drawn at home to Chelsea.

Liverpool’s clash against Palace will be the third fixture between the teams in just a few months after the Community Shield in August and this weekend’s top flight clash at Selhurst Park.

Grimsby Town, giantkillers of Manchester United and Sheffield Wednesday so far in this competition, were given a home tie against Brentford.

League One side Wycombe Wanderers will entertain Fulham and Swansea City are set to host Manchester City.
