Watch as authorities deliver a press conference hours after a car rammed into a crowd of people at Liverpool’s Premier League title parade.

Police confirmed a number of people have been taken to hospital after the shock incident.

They also urged eyewitnesses with footage of the event to come forward and not post it online.

Authorities also confirmed children are among the dozens injured.

A 53-year-old white British man has been arrested and is believed to be the driver of the vehicle.

In total, 27 people were taken to hospital and two people suffered serious injuries, including one child, the North West Ambulance service confirmed.

Thousands lined the streets to celebrate Liverpool FC’s Premier League title.

The club has offered its full support to the emergency service.

Prime Minister Keir Starmer says the scenes in Liverpool are “appalling” and thanked the emergency services for their swift response.
