A documentary investigator working undercover infiltrated an online sex ring where men traded horrifying videos of themselves drugging and sexually abusing their wives.
Avery Haines, an investigative journalist with CTV, posed as a sadistic creep while embedded within the secretive criminal network – leading to the shocking find of the sick videos on a man’s profile.
Bryan Hayward, 36, of Hamilton, Ontario, was taken into custody last week after the investigation uncovered his online profile which included video footage of the drugging and raping of at least five women, CTV News reported.
The sick discovery prompted a deeper probe into Hayward’s role in the widespread operation, where thousands of men allegedly secretly drug their partners and share videos of the sexual assaults globally.
On Friday, Hayward was arrested and charged with sexually assaulting ‘unsuspecting’ women along with several other criminal offenses, the Hamilton Police Department said in a press release.
‘Hayward may have contacted his victims through online dating sites,’ the department wrote.
‘Hamilton Police believe there may be additional victims, including individuals who may not yet realize they have been affected.’
Hayward’s alleged crimes came to light through an investigation by W5 – a documentary program produced by CTV News – which infiltrated the network over the course of several months.

The alleged crimes came to light through an investigation by W5, where Avery Haines (pictured), an investigative journalist with CTV, infiltrated the network and posed as a man intent on abusing his wife, ultimately finding Hayward’s alleged account showing the drugging and sexual assaults of at least five women
Hayward’s online profile was uncovered during Haines’ investigation, where he was alleged to have uploaded footage showing the drugging and raping of at least five women.
Hamilton police were promptly alerted to the potential crimes, leading to a secondary investigation by the department.
Authorities raided Hayward’s home on Friday and seized various items, including electronic devices and drugs believed to have been used to incapacitate his victims in order to carry out the sickening crimes.
Police are currently analyzing the electronic devices to determine the extent of the alleged crimes, including identifying any other victims and uncovering additional women featured in the videos shared online, according to the press release.
Hayward was ultimately charged with sexual assault, administering a noxious substance, voyeurism, distribution of intimate images, assault with a weapon, operating a motor vehicle while prohibited, and two counts of failure to comply with probation.
Additionally, the 36-year-old contracting business owner was charged with possession of methamphetamine, two schedule I substances – GHB and Hydromorphone – and an IV substance, clonazepam.
On Tuesday, Hayward made a brief appearance in Hamilton court, where his hearing was postponed until Wednesday.
Investigators are now urging anyone who has had any interactions with Hayward to contact Hamilton Police, as they believe there are additional victims – including those who may not yet realize they were abused.

‘Investigators are urging anyone who has had any form of relationship or interaction with Hayward to contact police, as they may have information that could assist with the ongoing investigation,’ they wrote in the press release.

Hayward is described as a white male with a medium-build, standing 5’10” tall and weighing approximately 180 pounds. He has brown hair and an amputation on his left hand.
‘We want all survivors of sexual violence to know that we believe them and we will respect their choice when and how they report the incident,’ the department wrote in the press release.

The months-long trial of Gisele’s case finally concluded in December of last year.

In December, Dominique along with 50 other men were found guilty of raping and sexually assaulting Gisele over the course of a decade – all at the behest of her husband

Police ultimately uncovered more than 20,000 photos and images of Gisele being sexually assaulted by a total of 72 strangers – 50 of whom have been identified – as she laid comatose in bed.
It was from those officers in 2020 – almost a decade after her torturous ordeal began in 2011 – that Gisele learned the dark truth.
For years she had witnessed her health deteriorating – her worsening memory loss leading her to believe she was suffering from Alzheimer’s disease – while she battled what seemed to be a growing abundance of gynecological problems.
Dominique along with 50 other men were found guilty of raping and sexually assaulting Gisele over the course of a decade – all at the behest of her husband.
During sentencing, Gisele held her head high as she heard and watched films taken by her husband of 50 years in which she was abused some 200 times by strangers he had invited into their home.
The court found 47 of the defendants guilty of rape, two guilty of attempted rape and two guilty of sexual assault. The 51 men faced a combined sentence of 600 years.
