It’s one of the most popular banking services in the country, but Halifax is facing an outage on Friday.

According to Down Detector, the problems started at around 11:00 BST and are affecting more than 1,000 users across the UK. 

Of those who reported issues, 52 per cent were with mobile banking, 31 per cent with online banking and 16 per cent with mobile login. 

Halifax, Lloyds, and Bank of Scotland customers previously experienced disruption in September when payment services went down for almost two hours
