Harry Styles took aim at Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor during his Saturday Night Live monologue, following the former prince’s arrest last month.
The singer’s jab came as part of his second spell of fronting the show after having recent success with his fourth record, “Kiss All The Time. Dance, Occasionally”, which sits at number one in the album charts.
Talking to the camera, Mr Styles joked he had become “tremendously boring” during his time away from the limelight.
The former One Direction star said: “I took up jogging. There’s nothing interesting about that. But because I’m me, people pretend to find that interesting. I don’t run to be interesting.

He continued: “Watermelon sugar high, runner’s high. And if that doesn’t do it for you, I also love ecstasy.
“As a British man who spent a lot of his life in the public eye, I can assure you, there’s something nice about being boring. It’s better than the alternative.”
A photograph then appeared of Andrew leaving Aylsham Police Station in the back of a Range Rover after his arrest.

Mr Styles’ comments come after a turbulent period for the former Duke of York, who has not been seen since his release from investigation on suspicion of misconduct in public office.
Last week, a photograph came to light depicting Andrew and Lord Peter Mandelson dressed in bathrobes alongside convicted paedophile Jeffrey Epstein.
The image is believed to be the first known picture capturing all three men in the same frame.

The photograph was taken at Martha’s Vineyard, appearing to show the trio seated around a wooden table on decking, each holding mugs decorated with the American flag.
While no precise date accompanies the image, it is believed to have been captured sometime between 1999 and 2000, according to ITV News.
This predates Epstein’s 2008 imprisonment for soliciting prostitution from a minor by several years.
The photograph emerged from the Epstein files, a massive trove of more than three million documents released on January 30, which also included more than 2,000 videos and 180,000 images.

GETTYThe sheer volume of material means fresh revelations continue to surface weeks after the initial release.
The newly discovered image bears similarities to a picture previously published in Epstein’s so-called “birthday book” last year, which also appeared to show Mandelson in a bathrobe with the convicted sex trafficker.
Within that book, the former UK ambassador to the US allegedly penned a letter to Epstein describing him as his “best pal”.
The document release has shed further light on the relationships both Mandelson and Andrew maintained with the paedophile financier.
Andrew’s name features at least several hundred times throughout the released documents.
He has consistently denied any wrongdoing.
