Arsenal secured a crucial 2-0 victory over Everton this evening, with Viktor Gyokeres breaking the deadlock in the 89th minute before teenager Max Dowman wrapped things up in stoppage time.
It looked like the Gunners were heading for a frustrating goalless draw at the Emirates Stadium until Everton goalkeeper Jordan Pickford made a costly error, completely misjudging a cross into the box.
Gyokeres was on hand to tap the ball home and send the home crowd into raptures.
The win temporarily moves Arsenal ten points clear at the summit of the Premier League, though Manchester City can reduce that gap when they face West Ham later tonight.

The night belonged to Dowman, though, who etched his name into the history books with his stoppage-time strike.
At just 16 years and 73 days old, the youngster became the youngest goalscorer in Premier League history, surpassing the record that Everton’s James Vaughan had held since 2005.
With Pickford stranded upfield after joining a late corner, Dowman showed remarkable composure to beat two defenders before racing clear and rolling the ball into an empty net.
The Emirates erupted in wild celebration.
It was only the teenager’s third Premier League appearance this season, having struggled with injury problems, but what a way to announce himself.

Everton will feel hard done by after putting in a solid shift at the Emirates.
The Toffees came close to taking the lead twice in the opening 45 minutes, with Dwight McNeil proving a real handful on the wing.
His first effort was brilliantly blocked by Riccardo Calafiori, who produced an acrobatic intervention to keep the scores level.
McNeil then went even closer, curling a lovely strike from the edge of the area that cannoned back off the post.
It was cruel for the visitors in the end, with Pickford caught out of position after venturing forward for that late corner.
Gyokeres was full of praise for his young teammate after the final whistle.
“It’s incredible. You can see how he plays, he plays so calm and without fear every time he gets the ball,” the Swedish striker said.
“He takes the right decisions most of the time as well. You can see with the goal, he definitely took the right one. An amazing player and a great goal for him.”
On Arsenal’s commanding position in the title race, Gyokeres kept things grounded.
“Every win is important. We try to do the best in our games and we can’t control the other results. We’re in a good position. We’ll try to enjoy these moments now.”
