An Iranian protester has called on Labour to “do more” in a rallying cry while marching through the streets of London to the US embassy.

This afternoon, hundreds of supporters gathered in the heart of London to protest against the current Iranian regime, brandishing pre-Islamic Republic flags, as well as Union Jacks, American and Israeli flags.

Speaking to GB News’s Alex Armstrong, one supporter of the US-Israeli strikes explained how the peaceful protest sought to pressure the Government into “doing more” in the war.

In a rallying cry to Labour, the demonstrator told GB News: “It’s our country. And it’s our history. It’s our culture, and we want to go back. Truly, everyone wants to be in their mother nation, and we want to go back and we want everyone to be happy.

“We want people to be safe. We’ve seen our family members die. They protested for freedom and they were fighting for freedom.

“And in front of them there were guns and they were shooting them, and they were throwing tear gas. There were old people…

“We’re here to change that. We’re here to finally change the situation in our country for once,” the protester declared.

Asked if the UK must do more in the war, the demonstrator agreed, saying that he hoped Britain would back the US and other allies.

He told Alex: “I would love for them to do more for everyone that’s helping us. They’re killing a terrorist regime who funds terrorists in the Middle East, who have funded so many terrorist activities.

“They need to help make the world a better place. That’s what we’re asking for. We want the world to be a better place.”

Supporters celebrated US-Israeli strikes on Iran – but the protest was met with a furious counter-demonstration of those who backed the republic, the “Hands Off Iran” protest.

Coming in hordes, thousands of demonstrators could be heard bellowing anti-Israeli and US chants, with some of the some shouting “shame on you” and “murderers” at Israeli protesters.

The Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament, Stop the War, Palestine Solidarity Campaign, Muslim Association of Britain, Palestinian Forum in Britain, Friends of Al-Aqsa alongside other anti-war groups were amongst the counter-protest crowds.

Many could be seen waving massive portraits of the dead Supreme Leader, who was killed in the initial wave of strikes launched by US-Israeli forces.

Chants of “we are the people, we won’t be silenced, stop the bombing, now, now, now” could also be heard, while others bellowed “Donald Trump terrorist” and “Keir Starmer, shame on you”.

Others could be heard saying: “From Iran to Palestine, bombing children is a crime.”

Once the march reached its destination, the Metropolitan Police said: “The Hands Off Iran protest has reached the United States Embassy, where we are seeing some protesters disperse.

“A woman in her 60s has been arrested on suspicion of inciting racial hatred in relation to a placard.”

Overnight, new waves of attacks launched across the region took place while the conflict between America, Israel and Iran continues to spiral.

This morning, US President Donald Trump said Iran could face “complete destruction and certain death” and promised the regime could be “hit very hard” today.

Issuing the extraordinary threat, he said: “Iran, which is being beat to HELL, has apologised and surrendered to its Middle East neighbours, and promised that it will not shoot at them anymore.

He added: “Iran is no longer the ‘Bully of the Middle East,’ they are, instead, ‘THE LOSER OF THE MIDDLE EAST,’ and will be for many decades until they surrender or, more likely, completely collapse!

“Today Iran will be hit very hard! Under serious consideration for complete destruction and certain death, because of Iran’s bad behaviour, are areas and groups of people that were not considered for targeting up until this moment in time.”
