Wolves pulled off a remarkable upset at Molineux on Tuesday night, defeating reigning Premier League champions Liverpool 2-1 thanks to Andre’s dramatic intervention deep into stoppage time.
The midfielder’s 94th-minute effort deflected off Joe Gomez and flew past Alisson, sending the home supporters into raptures.
For Rob Edwards’ side, rooted to the foot of the table, this represented their second triumph in just five days following Friday’s victory over Aston Villa.
The result marks only their third league win of the entire campaign, yet they have now beaten both Liverpool and Villa while also securing a draw against Arsenal at home.

Substitute Rodrigo Gomes broke the deadlock well into the second half, combining with fellow replacement Tolu Arokodare to devastating effect.
Arokodare held off Virgil van Dijk before releasing Gomes, who delicately lifted the ball over the Brazilian goalkeeper.
Liverpool responded almost immediately, with 17-year-old Rio Ngumoha striking the woodwork just a minute later.
The equaliser arrived shortly afterwards when Jean Ricner-Bellegarde surrendered possession, allowing Salah to find the net for his first Premier League goal since November.
The contest had begun sluggishly, with Liverpool controlling the ball but failing to trouble Jose Sa in the Wolves goal.
Arne Slot’s men have now surrendered a winning or drawing position in added time on five separate occasions this season, a troubling pattern that continues to undermine their campaign.
Mohamed Salah had earlier equalised for Liverpool – his first goal in 10 games

A victory at Molineux would have elevated Liverpool level on 51 points with Manchester United and Aston Villa, who occupy third and fourth place respectively.
Instead, they remain stuck in fifth position, watching their title rivals pull further ahead.
Wolves, despite this morale-boosting result, still sit at the bottom of the standings, 11 points adrift of safety and appearing destined for relegation to the Championship.

Gomes spoke to TNT Sports after the final whistle, describing the evening as “amazing” and expressing his delight at consecutive victories under the floodlights before the home faithful.
“Maybe a little late, but we need to keep going and keep this momentum,” he said. “We are playing good. We are doing unbelievable things.”
The Portuguese winger praised his fellow goalscorer, calling Andre “such a good player” who thoroughly deserved his decisive contribution.
