Macclesfield’s stadium was set on fire in a suspected arson attempt on Tuesday morning.
Emergency services responded to calls of the blaze, with two engines attending Moss Rose, known as the Leasing.com Stadium for sponsorship reasons.
It is unclear whether the fire was started late on Monday night or in the early hours of Tuesday.
Police confirmed an outbuilding adjacent to the club’s shop was alight.
Cheshire Fire & Rescue Service also confirmed two firefighters wearing breathing apparatus tackled the blaze using hose reel water jets, and remained at the scene until 4:30am.
A statement read: “An initial investigation indicates that the fire was started deliberately.”
Cheshire Police also attended the incident.
Flames were visible over the stadium wall, with passersby capturing footage.

Locals are to stay away from the scene, and those residents in the area to keep windows shut.
The club has also released a statement to fans encouraging supporters to “avoid the area”.
The Silkmen’s statement said: “We would like to reassure everyone the situation is under control.
“There are no casualties and investigations are already underway in to the cause of the fire.”

Macclesfield made national headlines in January when they caused a huge upset by defeating FA Cup holders Crystal Palace 2-1 in the third round.
The club, which plays its football in the sixth tier of English football, is led by manager John Rooney, brother of Manchester United legend Wayne.
Speaking after the game, the boss said: “I can’t believe it, we never thought we would be in this position. We were incredible from the first minute. I thought we were deserved winners.”

He added: “I couldn’t be any prouder of the lads. I couldn’t have asked any more of them and you can see the joy in them.”
They were then knocked out in the fourth round in February by Premier League opponents Brentford.
The National League North side is due to travel to play Darlington tonight.
They last played at home on February 24, where they suffered a 4-1 defeat to Fylde.
