Marcus Rashford has withdrawn a total of £8.5million from his business ventures as preparations continue for his anticipated permanent departure from Manchester United this summer.

The England forward, currently on loan at Barcelona, extracted approximately £7.5m from MUCS Enterprises, the company handling his image rights.

Following this substantial withdrawal, the image rights firm retains £12.6million in assets according to recent filings obtained via The Sun.

Additionally, Rashford removed close to £1million in cash from his property venture over the preceding 12 months.

MUCS Properties, which oversees the striker’s portfolio of 11 investment properties across Manchester, currently holds assets valued at £8.2m based on the latest company documentation.

The 28-year-old’s temporary spell with the La Liga club is expected to convert into a permanent arrangement worth £26m, driven by his impressive performances since arriving at the Nou Camp.

He has scored 10 goals from 34 appearances since moving from Manchester United, with four of those coming in LaLiga.

His loan arrangement with the Catalan giants, which began in late July, came after a turbulent period with the Red Devils.

While once undroppable, he fell out of favour with Ruben Amorim prior to his departure.

Amorim is, however, no longer at the club after being sacked in July following an explosive press conference where he criticised his superiors.

Rashford’s resurgence in Spain has also caught the attention of England manager Thomas Tuchel, with the striker now back in contention for World Cup selection.

His departure from Old Trafford will provide the club with considerable financial relief, saving the club approximately £315,000 per week in wages.

The forward last featured for United in December 2024 and subsequently lost his number 10 shirt to Matheus Cunha during Amorim’s tenure as manager.

Prior to his Barcelona move, Amorim instructed Rashford and other players who had fallen out of favour to train separately from the main first-team squad during pre-season.

United are also looking to offload other high earners including Casemiro and Jadon Sancho as part of their wage restructuring efforts.

Regarding incomings, several players are being linked.

United want at least one central midfielder, with Carlos Baleba believed to still be a priority target despite his dip in form with Brighton this season.

Nottingham Forest’s Elliot Anderson is also on their list.

And Joao Gomes, Adam Wharton and Ruben Neves have all emerged as targets as well.
