Caroline Peaty has questioned why her speech at her son Adam’s engagement party to Holly Ramsay did not feature in Gordon Ramsay’s new Netflix documentary.

The 60-year-old mother of the Olympic swimmer responded to a social media post from a relative on Thursday, suggesting her address to the couple was deliberately omitted from Being Gordon Ramsay.

“Did they film my speech Krystal? I bet they didn’t because it was 100% full of love and positivity x,” she wrote.

Caroline indicated she has not viewed the six-part series, which landed on the streaming platform earlier this week and follows the celebrity chef balancing his expanding business empire with family life.

The engagement celebration footage shows both the Ramsay and Peaty families in attendance.

Adam’s cousin Krystal Peaty has also claimed she was edited out of the engagement party scene in the documentary.

The spiritual healer, who is the niece of Adam’s father Mark, posted an image of her television screen while watching the footage on Instagram.

She wrote: “I was here in person, guess I didn’t make it on Netflix for my minute of fame. How will I sleep at night?”

When Caroline enquired about her speech, Krystal responded that she had not seen it included and noted that Caroline appeared blurred in the footage.

“I haven’t watched it all to be honest but no I haven’t see you and you look blurred out,” she replied.

Krystal subsequently reposted the exchange to her main Instagram grid with the caption: “Sorry not sorry.”

The engagement party was filmed for the documentary months before reports emerged of a rift between Adam and his family, which ultimately resulted in Caroline being excluded from the wedding guest list.

Prior to the series airing, a source close to Caroline revealed she had written to Netflix producers stating she had not consented to being filmed for Gordon’s programme and wished to be removed given the circumstances.

However, it was reported that filming notices displayed at the venue indicated attendees were consenting to appear in the show by being present, and since the Peaty family members were not interviewed, no additional consent was required.

Adam married Holly at Bath Abbey on December 27, with his sister Beth representing the family as one of the maids of honour.

Gordon Ramsay addressed the family dispute while promoting his new series, describing the situation as “self-inflicted” from the Peaty side.

The 59-year-old chef told the Daily Mail he had been accused of making inappropriate comments during his father-of-the-bride speech at the wedding, but firmly denied this.

He said: “Nothing at all was said that was inappropriate, I promise you. I was very warm, very witty. I talked about when they first met.”

He recalled his initial reaction to learning of the relationship: “I was nervous, hearing the words no father would ever want to hear, ‘Your daughter’s gone on a date with the world’s best breast-stroker.'”

Tana Ramsay has also spoken about meeting Caroline, telling Grazia she remembered praising Adam as “the most amazing son” and describing him as “perfect” for Holly.
