US breakfast show host Savannah Guthrie has issued a fresh plea to her mother’s apparent kidnappers in a new video.

In the emotional clip, the Today show host urged Nancy Guthrie’s captor to “do the right thing” and vowed the family “still have hope”.

“It is never too late to do the right thing,” she adds in the tearful video.

“We believe in the essential goodness of every human being. It’s never too late.”
