Watch the moment tensions come to the fold on GB News as political commentators Carole Malone and Andy Williams lock horns in a feisty trans debate.
It comes after a lively Prime Ministers’ Questions (PMQs) session where Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer came under his fire after his silence on a Supreme Court ruling on biological sex.
Amid the silence, protests broke out across the country with London statues being defaced by trans rights activists.
Williams argued on GB News that while their actions were reprehensible, those on the other side of the debate cannot escape blame for tensions erupting across the country.

Malone fiercely contested his perspective, saying women who have argued in favour of single-sex spaces deserve a moment in the sun.
“If you look at the protest where people held placards saying ‘burn the witch’, whoever was carrying that placard should have been arrested. It’s inciting violence”, he said.

“On the other side, the triumphalist language and popping of champagne corks, the whooping and hollering outside courts…”
He was stopped in his train of thought by Malone as she furiously ordered him to “hang on a second”.
She added: “How can you say triumphalist language? These are biological women who have, for years, had their rights spat upon.
“They’ve been diminished in almost every institution in this country. It’s not triumphalist to celebrate something which gives you a place in society.
“Of course people were celebrating. For too long now, the NHS has been in the thrall of trans activists for years.”
Williams argued: “I think the way some of these people have been reducing what is a complex question to, ‘these people are men’ and dismissing them in an aggressive way has been difficult to watch.”
GB News host Bev Turner weighed in on the discussion to say she thinks nearly all the animosity surrounding the debate has been set by those on the side of trans activism.
She said a small majority of people on the other side may be responsible for some of the ire, but much of the fury has been sparked by trans activists.
Williams said: “That may be the case – but it’s the responsibility of the other side to rise above that.”
Malone did not accept his line, saying “oh please!” She continued: “the other side has been trampled upon for years and years by these activists. They have had lives ruined, careers ruined who had been harassed and bullied and threatened.”
Williams said trans people have always had their lives turned upside down as a result of the vitriolic debate in recent years.
He continued: “This judgment has to be respected. It’s the Supreme Court. From a political standpoint, Keir Starmer’s get out of jail free here, if you like, is say ‘this is the court’s ruling – we have to abide by it’.
“He’s on a sticky wicket because he’s done a massive U-turn and Kemi Badenoch called that out.”
