HYDERABAD:

The Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah has cautioned the federal government against slashing the province’s share in the National Finance Commission (NFC) award, pronouncing that the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) can never consent to such a decision. Talking to the media in Sehwan, Jamshoro district, on Saturday the CM said a committee has been formed to award the new NFC and that several proposals are under its consideration.

CM Murad reiterated that the PPP had categorically conveyed to the federal government that it should desist from cutting the provinces’ shares under the award, underlining that all provinces should be given their due rights as well. He claimed that Sindh has increased its revenue through sales and services taxes, advising the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) to take cue from the provincial tax collectors.

The CM cautioned that the terrorists are trying to rear their ugly head again.
