Trump’s latest approval rating revealed as he battles it out with China on tariffs: Live updates

Share post:

President Donald Trump is still getting record-high approval from Americans as he continues his tariffs war and tit-for-tat with China.

According to a new Fox News poll, 44 percent of Americans approve of his overall job performance within the first 100 days of his second term.

His highest mark at 55 percent was for his handling of border security and 47 percent of Americans approve of his work on immigration in general.

However, Trump is underwater on a key issue: the economy. He’s at a 56 percent disapproval rate on his handling of the nation’s finances as he continues to battle it out on his trade deals.

President Donald Trump demanded Russian President Vladimir Putin ‘stop’ his military strikes on the Ukraine.

‘I am not happy with the Russian strikes on KYIV. Not necessary, and very bad timing. Vladimir, STOP! 5000 soldiers a week are dying. Lets get the Peace Deal DONE!,’ he wrote on his Truth Social account.

Russia launched a huge attack on Kyiv, the capital city, early Thursday, killing at least eight people and injuring more than 60 others.

The strike came as Trump is pressuring Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to accept a peace deal that is seen as favoring Russia. The administration’s plan would grant Russia all of Ukrainian territory it has gained in the war. Zelensky called it unacceptable.

Trump signals that Elon Musk will ‘ease out’ of his administration and DOGE with very cryptic comment

President Trump praised Elon Musk – at one point in the past tense – after the DOGE chief said he would pare back his government work to a ‘day or two’ per week after Tesla profits plunged.

Trump repeatedly lauded Musk, who has become a national lightning rod for spearheading the effort to slash agency spending, fire federal workers on short notice, and identify billions in savings by slashing what he calls waste and abuse.

‘He was a tremendous help both in the campaign and what he’s done with DOGE,’ Trump told reporters when asked about what role Musk would play in the future.

Inside the staff ‘civil war’ under Pete Hegseth with ‘vicious’ backstabbing aides as he shakes up Pentagon

Pete Hegseth’s tenure at the Pentagon has reached a new level of Shakespearean drama complete with back-stabbing aides, battling rivalries, an ambitious wife and an internal civil war involving the future of America’s military.

Most striking about this drama are the players themselves.

It’s members of Hegseth’s own team, including longtime friend and allies, who are turning against him, telling tales of chaos, meltdowns and inappropriate behavior in the halls of the Defense Department.
